G'day, Michael!

Ah, yes I was surprised...fully expected Syesha "she gone!" Mercado to exit Idol last night, and fully prepared for Carly to leave as well...but Michael? Not at all. It's painful when folks are repeat visitors to the B3 (i.e. KLC) while others are booted on their first visit! So unfair! And Ryan was unduly cruel throughout the whole thing...Micheal to his part also appeared to be a bit surprised, but carried himself as the gentleman he clearly is. This kind of shock sucked the life out of all that Idol Gives Back goodwill for me!

Michael, you done good, and we'll miss you! See you on tour!

For the rest of the show, I was also fairly aghast at the religious opener...not sure what's up with that, but I did like it and thought it was sung beautifully! I also liked the cheesy Ford commercial with the world in paint at the end....couldn't identify half the people in the IGB "I'm a Believer"montage, and found Obama's message to be the most natural and endearing of the three Presidential hopefuls.

The obvious highlight at our house (maybe yours?) was the Jordin Sparks/Chris Brown ditty....course, we've been singing that song in the minivan forever. She looked absolutely radiant, and did you catch the electricity between those two??!! HOT HOT HOT. My tweener tells me he and Rhianna are on the rocks...hhhmmm.....they both sounded amazing and it was great.

Michael, if it's any consolation, the 8th contestant voted off in Season 5 has gone on to enjoy amazing success in music: Bucky Covington. Can't wait to see what you bring us!
